How we handle your personal information under POPIA.
When you apply through a How2Apply form we collect what you type in: your name, phone number, optional email address, province, experience and message, plus a hashed, non-reversible visitor code to prevent spam. We do not ask for your ID number, bank details or CV on our forms. When you click "Apply" on a ZA Live vacancy you leave How2Apply for the employer's own site; we record only that the click happened.
To consider you for the role you applied for and similar roles, and to contact you if you are shortlisted. By applying you agree that we may share your application with employers hiring for that role.
Applications are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. You can ask us to see or delete your details at any time.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and Google AdSense to show adverts that keep the service free. These services may set cookies, which you can manage in your browser settings.
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you may access, correct or delete your personal information, object to its processing, and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
